In the last few years as Marine Traffic has increased, the number of large marine mammals and aquatic creatures that have breached and stranded on our costal waters have also increased significantly.

One of the primary reasons suspected is that the subsurface noise generated by these ships navigating off our coast. The noise interferes with the natural navigation abilities of these animal, they get di-orientated and lost at sea. How sad is that?
We don’t have an answer YET on how to manage this challenge, because Shipping is a critical part of national growth and lifeline and so are our OCEANS and the inhabitants of the seas. However if you are keen to know more or share more information, ideas, work as a social community to understand and possibly participate in finding a solution.
